S&P 500 ekes out a small gain for the quiet holiday session; European stocks close mixed amid hopes for Brexit trade deal; UK banks jump; BELELX15 up 0.37% 
U.S. stocks posted slight gains in thin trading on Thursday to wrap up the holiday-shortened week. The Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed 70.04 points, or 0.2%, to 30,199.87, while the S&P 500 gained 0.4%, or 13.05 points, to 3,703.06. The Nasdaq Composite rose 0.3%, or 33.62 points, to 12,804.73. Technology was the best-performing sector, rising 0.8%, while energy lagged. 
Shares of Alibaba dropped more than 13% following news the China-based e-commerce giant is the target of a new antitrust investigation by the Chinese government. 


European stocks closed mixed after a light trading session Thursday, as traders grew optimistic a Brexit trade deal would be reached. 
Britain’s FTSE 100 closed up by around 0.1% after a choppy holiday-shortened session, while France’s CAC lost nearly 0.1% and Spain’s IBEX market finished the day up 0.5%. The German and Italian markets are closed for Christmas Eve. 


BELEX15 ended Fridays’ session with 0.37% increase as we sow some light gains at Metalac, NIS and Jedinstvo. The most active name was Alfa with RSD 130m in volume. Jedinstvo meanwhile reported buyback cooperation again – it is about very small amount of shares.
